Redland and Cotham
Clifton, Cotham and Redland are certainly the more affluent districts
of Bristol and have earned themselves the collective name of the "magic
triangle". The magic triangle is situated on the North West side of
Bristol and boast some of Bristol’s better known attractions such as,
Durdham Downs, Bristol Zoo, the Suspension Bridge and the regency
Clifton Village.
Redland is a relatively quiet family area with excellent schools and mostly comprising large period homes providing quality family accommodation as long as they’re not too close to some of the student digs. Redland Green Secondary school has created a massive demand for family houses that are safely situated in the shrinking catchment area. Cotham is closer to the city centre and houses a mixture of young professionals looking for a short walk to work in the centre, doctors and nurses looking to be close to the BRI and students looking to be a five minute stroll to the first lecture of the day. Cotham Grammar School is a well respected and established secondary school serving this area with results matching the more popular new Redland Green school.

“It was an easy decision to make when I was offered the opportunity to relocate from London to Bristol to restart my career as a surveyor with King Sturge. With a chance to work for one of the largest and top firms in the region, it offers the same exciting career prospects but with a much better quality of life”
