Greens Dining Room

The relaxed charm of a European café combined with superlative cooking, Greens is the perfect neighbourhood restaurant for any occasion.

The owners and chefs Simon and Andrew Green between them have an awesome background in some of the most creative kitchens in the UK, a ‘who’s who’ that includes Alistair Little, Chez Bruce and the River Cafe in London and in Bristol at The Glassboat and Riverstation. Even Andrew’s wife Louise, who looks after front-of-house, has worked at the River Cafe and the Robinson Restaurants in London. Affordable and relaxed, there’s no starch here at Greens, just great cooking. With a nose to tail ethos, the kitchens produce everything from scratch including stocks and breads. Tuesday to Friday lunch offers a choice of a la carte or a set menu of two courses for £10 with Saturday and Sunday offering brunch, light lunch or three course traditional roasts. The a la carte evening menu features modern European dishes and comes in at £21.50 (2 courses) and £27.50 (3). The carefully sourced wine list also offers an exciting range of wines from boutique wineries in the New World and young producers from the classic European regions.

Meal for two, including wine and service: £80

Real People

"Bristol is such a great place to work! There are so many interesting and exciting things happening here, I just don’t have the time to keep up. I love the fact that Bristol has everything that a big city can offer; but, on the days when you want to get away from it all, you can easily escape to the country or down to the beach for a surf. This luxury is something that people often overlook..."
