Aerospace and Defence
Bristol has had a leading position in the world’s aerospace industry dating back as far as 1910. Having played an important role in the development of Concorde, TSR2 and the Brabazon, Filton in Bristol is now home to Airbus, Rolls Royce and BAE Systems, where wings for Airbus airliners and engines for military and civil aircraft are designed and produced. This concentration of aerospace activity has helped create a host of other engineering businesses in the area supplying the main players.

Real People
"I moved to Bristol from London a year ago and I've never felt more settled. The city is big enough to boast diversity, culture and various tourist attractions and has an excellent new shopping centre. Initially, I thought I'd be homesick for London but I'm not a bit. Bristol offers affordable rents, good public transport, lots of pedestrian retail areas and plenty of fashionable eateries, pubs and... people!"
