Offering a dynamic and diverse working environment at our sites at Filton, Bristol, and Broughton, North Wales, around 135,000 jobs are generated in the UK by Airbus wing work, directly and indirectly through supplier contracts.
Airbus employs approximately 4,000 people at its Filton site in Bristol with approximately 2,000 engineers. The functions carried out at Filton include human resources, finance, procurement, engineering, manufacturing (A400m), training, facilty management, corporate comms and government relations.
Robert Fenner moved to Bristol from Grayling's London office in July 2008. "It was a really good move for me," he says. "The energy in business here is as dynamic as anywhere else, and the quality of life is so much better. Bristol has an identity of its own, and the South-West is a great place to be - whether as a next step or as a starting point in a public relations career. I'd recommend it to anyone."
