TV and Film
Bristol is the worldwide leader in wildlife and environmental film accounting for 25% of the sector’s global output and hosts the international "Wildscreen Festival" every two years. Also as home to Aardman Animantions, the worldwide leader in model animation, Bristol punches well above its weight in television and film. Bristol hosts the annual International Encounters Short Film Festival at the Watershed.
Aardman Animations
Aardman Animations are world leaders in model animation. Their creations include Morph, Wallace and Grommitt, the Chicken Run and Shaun the Sheep. Aardman have recently moved into a new building specifically designed for them on the harbourside in Bristol.
BBC Natural History Unit
The BBC Natural History Unit has been based in Clifton, Bristol since its formation in 1957. It currently employs around 120 people and is the largest wildlife production house in the world.

Film 59 employs around 95 people at its offices in Bristol and provides a range of pre and post production services for film and TV programme makers.
RDF Television West
RDF Television West employs around 40 people in Clifton and produces popular and innovative programmes across a range of genres. Recent successes include Celebrity Wife Swap & Wife Swap, Secret Millionaire, Ladette to lady and Dickinson’s Real Deal.
Tigress Productions
Tigress Productions employs around 55 people at its base in Clifton and specialises in wildlife, adventure and science documentary programmes. Recent successes include Black Mamba - White Witch, Monty Hall's Great Escapes and Around the World in 80 Trades.
